5,000 Places for Internship Program

Small businesses in Dublin might be interested in the new Internship Development Program, which has a low cost attached.

Facilitated through FÁS, the ‘host’ organisations offer internship placements to those out of work three months and more.

The placement would last for 12 months and there will also be an education and training element, along with the internship, to help improve skills and competencies.

To qualify as a host organisation, you must have at least one full time employee and have not made anyone redundant in the last three months.  It also proposed that the host organisation will provide €150 per week, per intern


The Internship Development Program is open to Private, Commercial Semi-State and Community/Voluntary Sector (Host) Organisations.

If you are a qualifying entrepreneur or business owner and wish to offer a place under the internship program, please visit www.fas.ie  to complete an ‘Expression of Interest’ form.
