While many SMEs may already have plans in place for business continuity, including adverse weather events, all enterprises need to be informed and prepared for the range of disruptions that could arise.
As part of the Government’s Winter-Ready information campaign, Forfás, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland and the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation have compiled a document including a practical checklist for businesses to assist in preparing for severe weather events.
The document addresses the potential impact of adverse weather conditions on business and offers advice on key issues and measures to support business continuity. The checklist provides a template to identify weaknesses in business continuity plans.
