Business Planning (The Art of Analysis)

This programme is suited to  existing business owners who are planning for the future. Where are you now? Where do you want to be?  

It will provide individuals with a core business planning skill set to complete this in  a way which will guide the business.

It will focus on creating an understanding of the purpose of the Business Plan and thus the key information set which should be contained within it.  It will highlight the language used and the issues to be addressed such as market research, financial planning and sales forecasting.  For every business there is a need to have researched the market thoroughly prior to business commencement and this programme will provide an insight into the ways to achieve this.

This programme aims to help those with an existing business formalise the development plan and document the way in which the business is to grow.  It will help them to clarify the needs of the business and complete the necessary research to successfully start a business. 

The module will cover the following:
  • The Business Plan
  • The Core Components of the business plan including Market Research, Sales and Marketing and Finance
  • The language of planning – ensuring the message is right
  • The Do’s and Don’ts of Business Planning – A guide to completion
On completion of this training you will:
  • Understand the standard framework and key principles of preparing a business plan.
  • Develop a business planning process combining marketing, financial and management plans.
  • Understand the marketing concepts, in particular market research, business and marketing and planning as they apply to small business start up and growth.
  • Understand the selling process and be able to develop a sales action plan
  • Understand the forms of business organisation and the advantages and disadvantages of business structures & the fundamentals of sourcing a premises
