Do you employ 10 or more full-time employees?
Are up exporting where exports accounted for at least 30% of sales in the last accounting year?
The employment subsidy scheme is open to Companies/Groups who meet all these criteria ;
• Are manufacturing or internationally traded service companies
• Must not have been in financial difficulty on 1st July 2008 but now are as a result of the crisis. • Have committed to maintain a number of full time jobs until 30/11/2010.
• Have some type of restructuring plan in place to help them out of the financial crisis, have sufficient cash to fund their business & their business is capable of growth when the upturn happens.
The aim of the scheme is to provide an employment subsidy to vulnerable but viable manufacturing and/or internationally traded services enterprises that are currently engaged in exporting to maintain their full time workforce. This will help the economy retain its productive capacity and employers retain the labour, knowledge and skills of the workforce in a variety of sectors which are under particular pressure as a result of the global economic crisis thereby supporting a faster return to sustainable growth.
An employment subsidy towards the cost of full-time employees (working an average of 35 hours per week)
