Calling All Fashionistas

Motorola Dublin Fashion Week (Autumn Winter 08) will take place from Monday 25th to Wednesday 27th February, 9am – 6pm daily. It will include Dublin city designers MoMuse and Vivienne Walsh jewellery, Heather Finn Knitwear and Jennifer Rothwell (photograph).

MDFW has moved to a new location, the new Radisson SAS Hotel on Golden Lane in Dublin’s City Centre in order to continue the event’s growth and to build on the unprecedented success of the last few seasons. This biannual event attracts local, national and international buyers and press. Last season saw the number of buyers attending this boutique showroom experience increase exponentially with all participating designers agreeing it was a prime reason for exhibiting at MDFW. This is further highlighted by the huge support afforded to MDFW by both the National and the international media. Catwalk shows have become an integral part of MDFW and this will be developed on for this coming season. Due to public demand, MDFW will be staging a collective fashion show, which, for the first time, will be open to the public at The chq Building in the IFSC, Dublin 1 and will showcase the current Spring Summer 08 collections. MDFW is also heavily involved in bringing the fashion industry to a wider audience through “The Talks”, a series of short presentations in a Q&A format from key figures in the worlds of fashion, design and marketing.
