Motorolla Dublin Fashion Week is taking place on Monday 25 - Wednesday 27 August 2008. Dublin City Enterprise Board are proud to announce that we are sponsoring the event. Dublin City Designers include jewellery from MoMuse, Celine C and Juvi Designs and knitwear from Heather Finn.
Motorola Dublin Fashion Week (MDFW) is set to bring together the hottest labels who will showcase their collections for Spring Summer 09. Bringing together a mix of clothes, knitwear, shoes, jewellery and accessories, the intimate, salon style show space of The Radisson Hotel, Dublin 8, continues to attract buyers and press from across the globe.
MDFW is a trade event held over 3 days where members of the press and buyers can view fashion design collections for the following season. Dublin Fashion Week is a biannual event: taking place once for the autumn-winter and once for the spring-summer collections.
Key highlights of the previous season included The Collective Fashion Show which for the first time was opened up to the public, as well as an increase in buyer attendance, designer participation and international press.
Additional to the designer show case, Motorola Dublin Fashion Week holds ‘The Talks’, a series of speaker events which attract key figures in the industry – sponsored by Dublin City Enterprise Board.
Catwalk Shows
MDFW will be staging a collective fashion show, which will be open to the public in the Serpentine Hall, RDS, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 on Tuesday 27th August 08 and will showcase the current Autumn Winter 08 collections. TV3’s Lorraine Keane will be the guest host.
Fashion Talks
Tickets cost €5 at the door, on a first come, first served basis at The Radisson SAS Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.Since its inception, Dublin Fashion Week has brought key figures in the Irish and International fashion industries to Dublin to share with the public their thoughts and ideas for the progression of individuality, creativity and design.'The Talks' sponsored by Dublin City Enterprise Board bring the fashion industry to a wider audience through this series of short presentations in a Q&A format from key figures in the worlds of fashion, design and marketing.
