
On Thursday 1st of May, MicroTrade will be holding a networking event at The Digital Hub, Dublin, for the Creative Media / Audio-Visual sector as part of the Cinemagic Film & Television Festival for Young People (23rd April – 1st May, Dublin).
The convergence within the media sector has created a range of new opportunities for smaller companies. This event will give 20 companies (10 from each side of the border) an opportunity to attend relevant seminars, meet potential creative collaborators or partners, and have pre-arranged meetings with appropriate television executives.
Potential attendees will be currently working in Film & Television Production (especially Children's Programming) / Multi-Media / Animation / Internet Technology / Interactive Media / Text Messaging etc.
Seminars on the day will cover topics including “How to Pitch to Television Station” and “How to Target Overseas”. There will also be a joint presentation from Borderline Films & Zanzibar Films detailing the benefits of cross-border collaboration.
There will be opportunities to network with, and pitch to attending commissioning editors from various televison stations including:
