Entrepreneurial business-owners who have been participating in our LINK! business network
since it was established in 2007, have joined forces in the last six months to create two brand new ventures.
Propose.ie
Propose.ie is the brainchild of Sarah Staunton and Eoin Mcdonnell. Sarah is an events organiser and marketeer and Eoin is a jeweller and diamond grader.
Propose.ie offers specialist advice and services to ensure that everything from planning your proposal, selecting your engagement ring and organising your wedding is fun, stress free and value for hard-earned money.
Sarah says “I got to know Eoin as a regular participant at the LINK! meetings. He was very memorable as he always seemed to have a few diamonds stowed away in his pockets somewhere! We soon realised that we had complimentary ideas and business skills. Our new website www.propose.ie provides a wealth of free information and tips for the happy couple. Our Diamond Nights events are unique in Ireland and hugely popular. You can come along and learn all about quality and value in engagement rings in a social, non-sales environment.”
Sarah continues to run her original business SPS Solutions www.sps.ie while Eoin is the founder and managing director of Precious www.precious.ie. Propose.ie’s next Diamond Night will take place on 16th September.
Up & Connected
Up & Connected www.upandconnected.com runs workshops that help Irish companies understand how to effectively use social networking tools to grow their business, improve communications and build long-term prosperous relationships.
Founding partners, Fred Caballero and Ian Cleary, were introduced to each-other by another network member in 2008. Together, they identified an opportunity in the market to help businesses both stay abreast of - and exploit - the opportunities presented by a rapidly-developing social media and networking industry.
“We recognised that many of the business-owners attending the LINK! meetings were finding it increasingly difficult and frustrating to keep up with continuous developments in social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube”, says Fred. “Up & Connected is our response to this challenge. Our business is to stay abreast of the new developments on our clients’ behalf. We design programmes that are focused on teaching companies and individuals how to deploy the latest tools and techniques as an integrated element of their own unique business strategies.” The next Up & Connected public workshop will take place on 23rd September at the Clarion Hotel in Dublin’s IFSC.
Fred is co-founder of Channelship Web Agency www.channelship.ie. Ian Cleary is owner of Razor Coast social media agency www.razorcoast.com.
