DCU’s Entrepreneurial & Social Society ‘Bright Ideas Competition’ was held in Invent on Friday 27th February and was sponsored by Dublin City Enterprise Board. This comprised of four DCU students presenting their ideas to a panel in a Dragons Den setting. The judging panel consisted of Richard Stokes, C.E.O., Invent, Donal O'Shea C.E.O., Slidepath and Bernard Hensey C.E.O., Phive Plasma Technologies.
The overall winner Allen Dixon (Digital Media Engineering) received a cheque for €500 from the Dublin City Enterprise Board. The runners-up Jamie Barbour (Computer Applications), Diarmuid McManus (Computer Applications) and Orla McGreal (International Business) each received a cheque for €150 from Invent.
