Designer Dublin is part of the Year of Craft 2011 celebration of craft. Designer Dublin is a collaborative initiative to promote craft and design in Dublin during the month of June. Launching on June 1st, this is an exciting programme of activities including a craft trail, workshops, exhibitions, craft demonstrations and public talks.

Paul Costelloe
Costelloe takes immense pride in being one of Ireland’s most reputable designers who has lovingly grown his fashion empire over the last 30 years. The core items have now been complimented by projects in homewares, jewellery, optical and corporate wear, all of which have been met with huge success.
Peter O’Brien
Peter works as a freelance designer, designing his capsule collection exclusively for Arnotts. Peter also works in the theatre, designing costumes for The Gate Theatre and The Abbey Theatre, Dublin. This year fine art printers and book publishers Stoney Road Press launched a limited edition, hand printed book of O’Brien’s theatre and fashion drawings spanning 30 years and titled ‘Workbook’.
Deirdre McQuillan
Deirdre McQuillan is the fashion editor of The Irish Times, a freelance feature writer and author of seven books including a Style Guide to Dublin and a history of the Aran sweater. She was the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute of Irish Designers in 2010.
