Deirdre Hardiman, Hepburn Designs and Joanna Norton, Click4ESOL were awarded the top prizes at the Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women 2011 Awards.
Deirdre Hardiman of Hepburn Designs was announced as the winner of Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women “Most Improved Business” Award 2011 at the Dublin City Enterprise Board Christmas networking event in Wood Quay venue on 12th December. This is awarded on the basis of business performance in 2011.
Joanna Norton of Click4ESOL was announced as the winner of Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women “Rising Star” Award 2011. This award recognises innovation and future potential.

Hepburn Designs is a full service interior design company established in Dublin in 2009 by Interior Design Architect, Deirdre Hardiman.

In the last twelve months, Hepburn Designs has continued to grow and employed one person, created employment for subcontractors, stimulated spending in the local economy and provided work experience for four up and coming designers. The most recent student through FÁS just completed her one month work placement experience. In 2012 Hepburn Designs expects to create one additional full-time job for an interior designer (www.hepburndesigns.ie)

Click4ESOL is developing highly personalised learning content which supports the growing numbers of language and literacy students. Given the growth of mobile devices in the consumer space and their capacity to revolutionise the educational model, Click4ESOL will partner with technology companies to allow learners irrespective of their location or income bracket to access learning content that is pedagogically proven. In 2011, the company secured its first seed investor and Joanne is currently speaking to investors on both the east and west coast of the United States. The year has ended with an agreement with a UK mobile development company and their investors, to develop and market iPhone apps for China starting in January 2012 (www.click4esol.com).
The Dublin City Enterprise Board Network for Women Annual Awards is an initiative of Dublin City Enterprise Board to recognise achievement among network members. The judges this year were Jackie Prendergast of Consulting Excellence and 2006 winner, Cora Barnes of 3Q Recruitment.
