The Crafts Council of Ireland is planning an exhibition designed to showcase the talents of the future. We are seeking submissions from emerging makers who would like to exhibit their work at the National Craft Gallery in October 2008.

Calling all Emerging Makers
This opportunity is designed for all those who are seeking to establish a professional studio career in any of the craft disciplines.
This unique opportunity will provide a platform for makers who:
Have established a craft enterprise in the last 3 years Have recently graduated from third level institutions or who have completed a third level course in an applied art discipline over the past three years.
Have trained with professional makers and who have learned their skills through practice and practical application, Are returning to a craft or changing direction in their career.
We would like to hear a compelling argument in your submission as to how you see yourself as an emerging maker. We will be selecting makers on the basis of their proposal, and the information you send in.
