Furniture, Lighting & Tabletop Businesses Round Table Event - 14 October
The objective of the information session is a networking opportunity to meet other designer tabletop, furniture and lighting businesses (trading for at least 2 years in business) to meet and share information.
The format is mostly discussion, questions & answers.
- Now that you have your design business up and running, what next?
- How do you increase sales in these uncertain economic times?
- What trade events are useful; London, Paris? And are they worth the time and money? Which ones work?
- How do you keep your marketing and photo shoot costs down?
- Selling; what works and doesn't work?
- Sourcing raw materials and outsourcing manufacture
- Financing your business and trying to keep on top of cash flow
- Retail opportunities
- Exporting and distribution
- Environmental and ethical issues
The aim is to have an interactive session where people for whom designer products is the main activity of their business can share the latest trends and use it as a starting point for some discussion and networking. What are the common issues for craft/ design businesses? What are the solutions?
