To help you design, develop and market your website, the Dublin City Enterprise Board are hosting a workshop over three half-days

The first module is centered around web design and development, covering such topics as good web design principles, key web development considerations, and writing content for the web.

The second and third modules deal with creating online marketing strategies, web site analytics, search engine marketing and optimisation, social media marketing, blogging for your business, and potential risks and hazards to be considered on the Internet.


This course provides a set of guidelines to help business owners at each stage of the design, development and internet marketing of their web site.

The course is designed to provide attendees with both background knowledge and tips/actions to take to help them plan and execute their online web strategy.

Aims of the Programme

The aim of this course is to empower business owners to make informed decisions when working with web designers, wed developers, and online marketing specialists, and to know what to ask for to execute and improve their online web strategy.
Content


At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

    * Understand the elements of good web design
    * Discuss various elements of the web design, web development and online marketing processes, and formulate pertinent queries and opinions around same
    * Understand the importance of web site analytics for their business
    * Understand some of the legal implications that exist with regards to the Web
    * Develop and execute relevant low-cost tactics for marketing their web site
    * Understand how search engines work, and how to make their web site content “search engine” friendly
    * Make informed decisions about web site management and maintenance
