The DIT Hothouse team is currently recruiting participants for its fifteenth Hothouse Venture Programme. The DIT Hothouse Venture Programme is a year-long support and incubation programme that offers entrepreneurs with knowledge-intensive business ideas the expertise, networks and tools they need to
develop highly successful businesses capable of competing in global markets. Since 2001 the programme has helped to launch over 200 companies. The programme is fully funded by the Department of Education and Science.
If you have an idea with commercial potential and the skills and experience to exploit that idea, the Hothouse Venture Programme offers the support you need to progress, including:
- a base in the entrepreneurial environment of a dedicated incubator
- workshops to improve your capabilities in key business areas
- access to a network of experts and entrepreneurs
- help in raising investment
Hothouse Incubator
Base yourself in the entrepreneurial environment of Docklands Innovation Park, surrounded by fellow entrepreneurs and business experts who understand the start-up process. Access to broadband communications, professional reception services, meeting rooms and a range of office facilities.
Workshops
A series of 12 practical weekend workshops led by experienced business people helps you to address the critical issues within your own business
Counselling
The programme provides access to an invaluable level of expertise:
- On-site coaching from the Hothouse team
- Strategic business counselling from a panel of experienced business people
- Buddy counselling with a successful entrepreneur from our network
- Industry specific support
Showcase Events
Hothouse Showcase events bring together venture capitalists and other potential financiers, providing you with the perfect opportunity to present your pitch for investment. The Hothouse team will coach you in selling your business opportunity and preparing your investment proposal.
Funding
As a participant on the programme, you may qualify for a CORD grant from Enterprise Ireland which could provide you with up to 50% of your current salary.
