
The 2009 winners of the Denis Colleran Trophy and Dublin City Enterprise Award are Teresa and Patrick Flanagan, Home Call Optical Care.
HomeCall Optical Care Ltd are the Dublin City Enterprise Award winners for 2009. Teresa Flanagan and her brother Patrick Flanagan identified a niche in the optical sector of the healthcare market.
HomeCall OpticalCare is an independent optical practice, which specialises in the provision of domiciliary eye care. The aim of HomeCall OpticalCare is to provide the highest level of eye care to patient in the community particularly to the elderly and disabled who are unable to access their local high street optometrist. They received a €25,000 capital grant from Dublin City Enterprise Board in to fund equipment for their innovative service.

Patrick Flanagan aged 30 is a qualified Optometrist. Patrick has extensive experience in the eye care market with a particular interest in the domiciliary market. Patrick works full time in the practice and acts as the clinic director and advises on all optical / medical issues that arise in the practice on a daily basis.
Teresa Flanagan, aged 27, acts as managing director and works full time in the practice; she has extensive knowledge of the eye care sector, she plans to bring her experience in business management and accounting to HomeCall OpticalCare. The dynamic duo currently employ 9 people and offer their service throughout Ireland and Northern Ireland. They plan to launch an international business in the new year. Watch this space....
