How to Stay Positive - Some Tips

Credit crunch dragging you down? Our Leaders are not leading!  Other people getting all the breaks?

It's up to each one of us to start leading. Some tips on how to develop an optimistic mindset.

  • Change your mind.  By seeing yourself as unlucky you create a self-limiting belief; think like that and it will soon become true. Insurance sales agents with an optimistic mindset sold 37% more in their first two years than their pessimistic colleagues.
  • Be Proactive. The unluckiest people wait for things to happen. Lucky people take responsibility.
  • Break your routine, set goals, then make them happen.
  • Spot Opportunities. The more you know about what's out there, the more opportunities you seek and the luckier you're likely to be.
  • Boost yourself. When something goes well, congratulate yourself.
  • Don't sweat the small stuff. Challenge the value of dwelling on previous misfortunes. When something goes wrong, view it as specific, temporary and external.
  • Added extra. If all else fails, remember Thomas Edison's view. " I am a great believer in luck, and I find that the harder I work the more I have of it."
