ITnT Trade Show, Vienna, February 5th to 7th 2008

Dublin City Enterprise Board and MicroTrade will be recruiting 20 IT/Telecoms micro-enterprises to attend the ITnT Trade Show in Vienna from February 4th to February 7th 2008. Applicants deadline is Thursday, December 13th.Breanndán Casey Tel: 4948414 or email bcasey@microtrade.org

This event is part of the EU Matching programme (www.eumatching.net), and we will be working with the European Information Centre in Waterford to optimise the benefits of attending the show. The 20 companies will be equally split between Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. ITnT (http://www.itnt.at/en/) is the platform for information technology and telecommunication in the CEE/SEE (Central Eastern Europe / South Eastern Europe) region. It specialises in - Software & Services - Infrastructure & Solutions - Telecommunications & Solutions MicroTrade will be making a contribution of €250 towards costs of accommodation for each attending company. An evening reception on Tuesday 5th at the Trade Show and an additional networking dinner is also included. The €250 payment is dependant on attending the pre-event seminar in Dublin on January 17th . Attending companies will have the opportunity to organise up to 12 pre-arranged meetings and attend the numerous seminars at the Trade Show. As well as exhibiting a comprehensive range of services, the ITnT also offers a top class supporting events programme and is thus, in itself, also a top business event. Key Note Area - Exhibitors present products, services and success stories. In 2007 1,561 trade visitors attended 80 specialist presentations and speeches. MicroTrade will be bringing 20 companies. We will be making a contribution of €250 towards costs of accommodation for each attending company. There will be a screening process to ensure that the most relevant companies attend the event. Applicants should have one or more of the attributes below: Have a product / service that can be sold in Central or Eastern Europe Be looking to work with new suppliers / partners in Europe Be actively targeting the overseas market Have a successful local product/service that is ready for Internationalisation Have the resources to follow up opportunities. Additionally, all companies will be required to attend the pre- event seminar in Dublin City on January 17th from 10:30am to 4pm. Companies will take the lead in securing meetings at the Trade Show via the EU Matching website, but will be assisted by MicroTrade’s partner, Business Results Events. Flights - Each company will have to book and pay for their own flights. We will be departing on Aer Lingus from Dublin airport on Monday 4th at 15:45 and returning on Thursday 7th at 20.25 from Vienna. The current costs of these flights are €89, inclusive of all taxes etc. Hotel - We have preferential rates of €109 per night at the Trend Hotel Lassalle. This is for a business class room with internet access and breakfastincluded. Companies will have to reserve and pay for hotels independently. I have provisionally reserved rooms until December 20th. Subsistence – There is an EU networking reception on Tuesday 5th at the Trade Fair and MicroTrade will also organise an additional networking dinner on Monday 4th . Entry to the Trade Show is free of charge as part of the MicroTrade contingent. MicroTrade will re-imburse costs of €250 per each company after the event. Microtrade will only assist in costs per one attendee per company. All other costs will be borne by participants. Application Timeline: Applicants will need to send a completed application form ASAP. Deadline is Thursday, December 13th. Applicants will be informed by Tuesday December 18th if their application has been successful. They should reserve flights/ accommodation at that stage. The hotel is provisionally reserved until December 20th. All successful applicants will be required to attend a pre-event seminar in Dublin City on January 17th. This will include information on the Trade Show, seminars on targeting Central / Eastern Europe, and a speaker from a company that has successfully targeted the market. Companies will need to insert a profile on the EU matching website and start arranging appropriate meetings (see information below). MicroTrade’s partner, Business Results Events will be available to assist in this process, if needed. This process should be completed by January 16th.
