The course is designed to present the advantages of using a computerised accounts package.

The course has an introductory character and is a great opportunity for the accountancy beginners to familiarise themselves with and understand the basic concepts and ideas of accountancy as well as the need of the use of computerised accounts.

  • Presenting advantages of using the accountancy packages over the traditional approach such as manual accounting system and the use of excel spreadsheets
  • Explaining the basic accountancy concepts such as;
    • double entry
    • nominal ledger
    • cash book
    • bank reconciliation
    • Assets & Liabilities
    • Income, etc.
  • Presenting the relevant case studies with use of TAS Software. The case studies will exemplify the above concepts and will show the common mistakes while using a manual accounting system or excel spreadsheets

Brief Description of Trainer/s

Shane trained to become a Chartered Accountant with the firm and upon qualifying has progressed to become the Business Advisory Manager. Shane has a wide range of experience in all areas of accounting and has gained a vast knowledge of most computerised accounting packages.
