Invitation to Trade Mission to China

Trade Mission to the 5th EU-China Business & Technology Co-operation Fair
Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China
October 15th – 21st 2010

Registration Deadline: Thursday, September 2nd at 5pmAs the Irish partner in the EU Asia Invest programme, and working closely with our Chinese partners, EUPIC (EU Project Innovation Centre), our colleagues at the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Enterprise Board has successfully arranged Trade Missions to the above fair over the past number of years.
Over 30 Irish companies have visited and met successfully with their China counterparts in pre-arranged match-making meetings. In 2009, over 460 Chinese companies and 200 European companies participated. In 2010, the event will take place alongside the EU-China Biopharmaceutical Industry & Economic Development Forum.
This year, the target sectors are:
• New Energy (Solar energy, wind power, biomass and agri-fuel power, green buildings, clean transport and mobility, environment technology, smart grid)
• IT
• Biopharmaceuticals
• Emerging Industries (Cloud computing, the Internet of Things)
Participants from the EU and twelve Chinese provinces will include:
• Experts and entrepreneurs
• Representatives of industry clusters
• Policy and regulation makers in new energy sectors
• Representatives from government and intermediate organizations
• Minister s and government officials of EU member states and China
This Trade Mission will take place October 15th – 21st, 2010. Our colleagues at the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Enterprise Board has organized a full Trade Mission package, which includes:
• Flights (Dublin-Amsterdam-Chengdu return) & transfers (in China)
• Accommodation in 4 star hotels, within walking distance of the Fair venue
• Registration fee
• Business to Business meetings
• Translation and interpretation services for all meetings
• Gala Dinner
• Lunches during the event
• Visits to Chinese enterprises and science parks
• Pre-Trade Mission briefing event
The total cost per participant is €2,000 (excludes Chinese visa cost which is currently €40 for a single visit).
