Legal Issues for Small Business - Network Meeting

Legal Issues for Small Business - Network Meeting

The next Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women meeting is on Monday 11th February 6.45pm-9pm at the Mont Clare Hotel, Merrion Square. As a business owner, one of the key areas worth informing yourself about is the law as it applies to your business.

The law plays a part in many aspects of your business, from drawing up shareholder agreements, to protecting your Intellectual Property (and ensuring that you're not infringing on someone else's), to agreeing contracts with your suppliers/customers to taking on staff. As we all know, running into legal problems can bring huge costs as well as disrupting your business and it is very wise to take steps to avoid the most typical problems. I am delighted that two of our members, who are partners in Mason Hayes Curran, have agreed to talk at the February network event on typical problems that can occur and how to avoid them. The topics they have agreed to discuss are as follows: - Commercial and Corporate Law issues facing start-ups and growing companies – Jeanne Kelly, Partner, Mason Hayes Curran. - Lessons in Employment Law - How to Get it Right from the Start - Melanie Crowley, Partner, Mason Hayes Curran. Please register for this event by emailing in advance network@dceb.ie. Background to Speakers Jeanne Kelly, Partner Jeanne is a partner in Mason Hayes+Curran's commercial group.
