Workshop: Understanding your Personality Type Speaker: Declan Coyle, Andec Communications Venue: Mont Clare Hotel, Merrion Square Date and Time: Monday 9th July 6.30pm-9pm
To finish up the series of network events before the August break, we have organised a session that promises to not only be good fun but should also help us to learn something about the type of personality we (and people we deal with) have and why understanding this is important for our businesses and our lives in general. Declan Coyle of Andec Communications will use the framework of the Enneagram to explain the different personality types: A recent Gallop Poll showed that in terms of using our strengths, only 17% of people feel that their strengths are put to use daily in the workplace. We all have a great gift. We all have a unique strength. The Enneagram is an amazing methodology to help discover our strengths and the strengths of the people we deal with. Its extraordinary how productivity and results expand when we learn to value our gift and value what we are not when we value and leverage the strengths of others. In this intensive evening session, we will discover our strengths and the strengths of our colleagues. You will also hear more about the Skillnets training network we are proposing to set up linked to the Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women, through which training needs that exist among members can be provided at a low cost and in a format that suits them. The Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women was set up by Dublin City Enterprise Board in 2003 to provide women who have founded their own companies with a network that would help them to reach their full potential. The benefits to the more than 100 members include support from peers, increased business knowledge (from expert speakers) and motivation from hearing successful entrepreneurs. The monthly event is the core activity of the network. Membership for the rest of 2007 is 60. Please register in advance by email (network@dceb.ie) or phone (Pauline at 087 979 8430). Please note that the July event is open to members only so if you are not a member and wish to attend, you will need to join on or before the night. About the speaker.
