Workshop 1 - Should I, Shouldn’t I Export?
This workshop will look at the various issues and factors that small businesses must consider before beginning to export. The workshop will be facilitated by Envision, one of the island’s leading management consultancy practices, who have extensive experience of providing exporting advice and support to businesses on both sides of the border.
Workshop 2 - Successful Exporting
So you’ve decided to export, what’s next? Which markets should you focus on? How do you secure your first contract? Should you use an agent or distributor and what are the pros and cons of using them. This workshop, also facilitated by Envision, will help improve your understanding of the practical issues involved in exporting.
Workshop 3 - Selling On-line: Niall Laird, Squareball
Learn how the owner of a successful design company took advantage of the vast opportunities offered on-line to create and promote his new business. Combining his love for design and Gaelic Sports, Niall launched Squareball in 2007. An exciting and innovative GAA-inspired fashion brand aimed at GAA fans across the world, Niall is using the internet to make Squareball more than a clothing brand but the “unofficial official website of the GAA”. Niall will discuss how businesses can utilise the internet in an innovative way to sell their products and the various practical issues that businesses selling on-line need to consider.
