"We are members of different networks in Ireland and find LINK! a great space in which to interact. The LINK! events are effective networking opportunities with a blend of rich experience from guest speakers. Organisation is also paramount to facilitate business synergy: we feel there is a plan behind each meeting so that everything runs smoothly. Moreover, we have made very useful business contacts in just a few months! We definitely recommend the LINK! experience". Facundo Villaveiran and Fred Caballero from Channelship Ltd.
The summer networking event took place on 24th June combining the 3 Dublin City Enterprise Board Networks
Pat Lynch, Chairman of Dublin City Enterprise Board, launched the meeting with the announcement o f the DCEB Network Awards. Members of the Enterprise Network for Women may enter for The Female Entrepreneur Award and The Rising Star Award. LINK! members may compete for Best Business Plan and Most Innovative Product or Service.

Guest speaker, Gràinne Harte, took an unusual approach to the beginning of her talk: first she asked us all to assess our networking skills. Then she challenged anyone in the room who needed a product, service or even a bit of advice, to stand up and say it out. It was amazing to see these individual’s needs being readily met from among the 70 or so people in the room. This productive exercise set the tone for the rest of the evening.
After Gràinne’s entertaining and enlightening talk we proceeded to network the room. A bell rang every five minutes to prompt us to move on and meet someone new. It was some task getting everyone back to their seats for the wrap-up, when Gràinne conducted a quick assessment of leads swopped; follow-up appointments made; and introductions passed among members. Three lucky networkers won prizes for their endeavours in these areas. Attendees received a contact directory.
The feedback from those of you who attended this event was hugely positive. So, when you receive the invitation for the December joint networking event, bear these three words in mind: last June we did business!
