Professional Photography for Designer Crafts
Designer Dublin is a collaborative initiative to promote craft and design in Dublin during the month of June. If you design and handcraft products please get in touch with us.
Designer Dublin is part of the Craft Council of Ireland’s Year of Craft 2011 celebration of craft.
This initiative is to serve the Dublin craft sector in terms of:
• Exposing Dublin craft work to the consumer for potential sales.
• Showcasing Dublin and it’s craftspersons as a centre for quality Irish crafts in the minds of domestic Irish consumer and international visitors.
• Branding and profile-raising the substantial craft sector in Dublin.
• Collective marketing for the sector by building cohesion between craftspersons
• Strengthening the Dublin Craft sector in terms of communications and marketing.
Designer Dublin’s objective is to support and encourage the growth of the professional craft industry and to promote Dublin as a centre for exciting and innovative hand made craft.
Professional Photography
We are offering subsidised professional photography for a limited number of craft businesses that design and make in Dublin city. You will have to deliver your product to a certain location for the photo shoot and arrange to collect it the following day. You will have ownership of the image that you can use for your own promotional purposes. Photos with a model are more expensive because it involves a professional model, hair, make up and stylist.

The Launch of Designer Dublin in the European Union House on 1st June. We will invite a high profile person to launch Designer Dublin. Only photos taken for Designer Dublin will be included in the two week Poster and DVD (of craft images) Exhibition at E.U. House. You will be invited to display your product for one day only at the launch. You will have to attend yourself.
We will only use photos for the Designer Dublin Launch and promotional activity that have been organized for Designer Dublin. This is to ensure quality, consistency and ensure that we own the image rights and you own the full rights.
