SHOP - Trade Show for Food Businesses Monday 29th September - Wednesday 1st October

What is SHOP? SHOP provides a forum for manufacturers and retail chains to meet, generate new business and of course, nurture existing relationships. The buyers being targeted to attend SHOP will include: Multiples – Supermarket Chains: Tesco, Superquinn, Musgraves, Dunnes… Independent Retailers, Wholesalers Forecourt & Retail shops Convenience stores, Bakeries, Butchers Cash n Carry, Off Licences, Delis Symbol Group Buyers This show is suitable for any DCEB client who wishes to start selling or wishes to expand their sales through the national retail outlets and chains. They may make some actual sales at the show but even if purchase orders are not issued there and then, it is a perfect opportunity to firm up on existing relationships, to make valuable new contacts and to showcase their products to all of the major buyers in Ireland. SHOP 2008 will host the World Cheese Awards in association with the Guild of Fine Foods (U.K.) This will bring in over 4,000 cheese entries worldsie plus 120 international judges. The Guild is also bringing over 50 specialty fine food exhibitors who will exhibit close to the County & City Enterprise Board area. This will create a great focus on specialty/ small producers at the show. Exactly what are we offering you? 1. The overall stand will be uniformly branded using a professional design service to create a strong visual impact. The stand has an excellent position right at the entrance to the show, to the right of the main door. The entire stand, totalling 240m2, is being designed to include the following: - Shared meeting room spaces - Shared kitchen & hand washing facilities - Manned reception desks (staffing of which is to be arranged by the CEB’s). 2. Each individual client space will be branded with their own names & logos. Each space will take up 4m2 for each client. This will incorporate: - Shelving & Spotlights - Tasting counter & Fascia - Painted Shell (full scale walls) & Carpet (all in CEB brand colours, detail TBC) What are the overall costs? Costs to be covered by the participating Enterprise Boards include: - Floor space of 240m2 in the Simmonscourt Main Hall at the Royal Dublin Society in Ballsbridge - Design of the overall stand to incorporate 41 client areas and 5 larger meeting areas, all fully branded with the City & County Enterprise Board colours and logos - Delivery, build, final dismantle and removal of the stand itself, before and after the exhibition - Electricity for meeting areas & 2 No. spotlights per client space - Plumbing and water/waste supply for the shared areas - Furniture & misc. items for shared meeting space Subsidised Cost: €500 euro per exhibiting company. Any additional costs will be the clients’ own responsibility, this includes the hiring of display fridges, provision of double sockets by local electrical supplier, etc. Details of these RDS suppliers will be outlined in each Exhibitors Manual, which will be provided to each client company by Expo Exhibitions, the show organisers themselves. Please make your cheque payable to 'Dublin City Enterprise Board' . Places will not be reserved without payment. Payment in full is required at the time of booking (15th February). Only 4 places are being offered at this subsidised price, so early booking is advised.
