Start Your Own Business Course for Women

This programme is exclusively designed for female entrepreneurs to help prepare women to set up their businesses. 

The programme will introduce participants to the tools required to become more competitive in a challenging environment and to develop a range of skills to help run a better business.

The following questions will be answered:

1. How do I set up in business - the formalities?

2. What assistance is available to me?

3. The Business plan - a useful tool as part of setting up 

The aim of the intervention is to help the participants understand the management hurdles that exist when trying to set up a business.

What are the differences between Sole Trader, Partnership and a Limited Company.

The programme will assist new businesses to develop and grow their business ideas.  In this way, the programme will assist companies in: 

  • Exploring successful businesses run by female entrepreneurs
  • Researching their ideas to set up their businesses
  • Getting help in developing the business
  • Understanding grant and bank applications
  • Understanding the components of a business plan
  • Understanding the legal, start-up and accounting issues

The QED training team has worked in business for over a decade as consultants and trainers in the SME sector.  In addition to setting up and running our own business, we have worked with hundreds of start up businesses, in particular micro-enterprises (less than 10 employees) and start-up businesses. 

  • Start date: Saturday 8th November until 13th December
  • From 10:00 – 18:00 every Saturday
