Colm Lyon, Chair of Irish Internet Association will launch the “Tech-Check Programme” – the technology check-up for small business (less than 50 employees in any sector). Hear how three small businesses optimized their use of I.T. Colm Ryan of 3rd I will give a presentation on “Calculating the cost of downtime.” His presentation shows how he assisted a client put an economic case together for a technology investment based on the cost of system outages. Mary McEntee from Zilcom will explain how an electrical contracting business grew from 4 to 20 people in 4 years and how the Accounting and Payroll Software solutions helped the business through the rapid growth. Richard Browne from IT Resource will present a case study of a Manufacturer/ Wholesale/Distribution business. When they first partnered with I.T. Resource 4 years ago, they had 5 employees. Now they have expanded to 22 employees. The business turnover has grown from €2.75m to €8.75m. He will also explain how the Tech-Check process works.
