Using Smart Phone Applications as a Marketing Tool

The Dublin City Enterprise Board are organising an information session on June 22nd for anyone in the mobile application business or who might be considering using apps as marketing tools.

THEME:Using Smartphone Applications as a Marketing Tool

DATE:Wednesday 22 June 2011

TIME: 14:30 – 16:30

VENUE:Dublin City Enterprise Board,  O'Connell Bridge House, D'Olier Street

COST: €20 (numbers restricted to 15 people)

The objective of the information session is an information exchange and networking opportunity to meet other smart phone mobile application businesses or businesses interested in getting a mobile application developed

Dr. Bryan Duggan, School of Computing, DIT Kevin St and Ruairí Ó hAilín, Technical Advisor at Enterprise Ireland - ICT & Software Technologies, will be joining the discussions.

The format is mostly discussion based, with questions and answers.

  • What is all the hype about mobile apps about?
  • What are the commercial opportunities?
  • What are the trends in this area?
  • What business models work best ?
  • What trade events are useful? And are they worth the time and money? Which ones work?
  • What networks and resources are available?
  • How do I find the best quality mobile app developers at a reasonable cost?

The aim is to have an interactive session where people for whom developing mobile applications is the main activity of their business can share the latest trends and use it as a starting point for some discussion. It is also for organisations or businesses that are thinking of getting a mobile app developed to promote their business.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet other mobile app businesses and find out more about the supports available to help you run your business. It is not a training course. Places are restricted to 15 participants. We expect strong demand.
