Designer Dublin Showcase, ADORNMENT and Screening of ‘Dais’ a Visual Poem
From 1-14 June, come see two photographic exhibitions and the continuous screening of Sonya Lennon’s short film ‘Dais’ at European Union House, 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2, weekdays 9am – 5pm.
DAIS
‘Dais’ is a project conceived by Irish stylist Sonya Lennon. Nine Irish fashion designers feature in Dais A/W 2010, which was shot on location on Valentia Island in Kerry on Ireland’s south coast. From emerging to established designers, the credentials for inclusion remain constant, beautiful design. Designers featured in ‘Dais’ are John Rocha, Simone Rocha, Melissa Curry, Tim Ryan, Alison Conneely, Sharon Wauchob, Pauric Sweeney, Philip Treacy and Eilis Boyle.
ADORNMENT
The Adornment project, co-ordinated by top fashion photographer Agata Stoinska and Art Director Eddie Shanahan is a celebration of the artistic quality and craftsmanship of contemporary Irish jewellery and accessories in 2011.
