Female Entrepreneurs - Join the Enterprise Network

Setting up your own business is one of the most rewarding career paths women can choose. However, we know that establishing and growing your business is very challenging and one of the major gaps for many entrepreneurs is a supportive network of peers.

The Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women was set by Dublin City Enterprise Board specifically to provide such a network for women who have set up their own business. How does it work? •Monthly network event held in Dublin city centre (7-9pm on the second Monday of every month) •Additional events of interest to members •Online/ business directory For more information, please contact Pauline Logan; Tel: 087 979 8430 Email network@dceb.ie Web: www.dceb.ie (Enterprising Women) Annual membership fee €100 (can be paid online) Pauline Logan, the new manager of the Dublin City Enterprise Network for Women, comes from a background of supporting early stage companies and using networks as a mechanism for equipping prospective and existing entrepreneurs with the knowledge, contacts and motivation to succeed. She started and managed the first Plato programme in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and Wicklow area, in which 90 growing companies and 8 parent companies participated. She acted as Enterprise Officer in Dublin City University where she supported staff and students with ideas for starting new businesses and she initiated the DCU Entrepreneur's Network, a group of staff, alumni and students that met on a monthly basis. She also set up the Liavin Mallin €60,000 DCU Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She started her career as a marketing consultant in Quaestus Management Consultancy and has an MBA from DCU.
