Leading Irish Tech Entrepreneurs to Deliver Seminars at NovaUCD

Colm Lyon, founder and CEO of Realex Payments, will launch the 14th NovaUCD ‘Entrepreneurs Live!’ lunchtime seminar series next Wednesday, February 24

Realex Payments, a leading European payment service provider, offers a broad range of online payment services for over 3,500 domestic and international clients and currently employs over 70 people. Last November Colm was presented with the ‘Internet Hero Award’ at the Eircom Golden Spider 2009 Awards. 
This ‘Entrepreneurs Live!’ seminar series, organised by NovaUCD in association with the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Enterprise Board, will also feature three other leading Irish technology entrepreneurs - Howard Beggs, Helix Health; John Lynch, Merrion Pharmaceuticals and Ray Nolan, Web Reservations International and Worky.com. The aim of the seminar series is to promote a spirit of entrepreneurship among the academic, research and student populations at University College Dublin and beyond.
During the NovaUCD ‘Entrepreneurs Live!’ seminars the guest entrepreneurs will talk about their experiences of setting-up and running their businesses and will outline how they are handling the challenges of a changed economic environment. They will also emphasise the lessons learnt and summarise the highs and lows encountered along their entrepreneurial journeys. Each guest speaker will in addition reveal the secrets of their success. After each seminar attendees will have an opportunity to ask probing questions of the guest speaker.
 
The other speakers in this series will deliver their seminars as follows; Howard Beggs, co-founder and CEO, Helix Health (Wednesday 3 March), John Lynch, CEO, Merrion Pharmaceuticals (Wednesday 10 March) and Ray Nolan, Founder, Web Reservations International and Worky.com (Tuesday, March 23). 
 
Each seminar takes place in NovaUCD, Belfield Innovation Park, Belfield, UCD, from 1 pm to 1:50 pm, attendance is free and all are welcome to register in advance to attend.

The last seminar in this series will take place as part of an Open Morning at NovaUCD, a Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown 2010 Enterprise Week event.
