New Years Resolution - Start Your Own Business

New Years Resolution - Start Your Own Business

With a pro Enterprise budget and the expansion of the Seed Capital Tax Relief Scheme, this is a great time to start a business. If you are thinking about having your own business in 2008, a good New Year’s resolution will be to do our Start Your Own Business course.

This is a highly practical course that leaves you with no illusions as to what to expect. It also provides you with all the basic information you need to evaluate your idea before committing yourself, your time and your money. Having completed the Start Your Own Business course, you will be in a much better position to apply for assistance from Dublin City Enterprise Board. However, we stress that doing this course is not a prerequisite if you wish to apply for assistance. Start Your Own Business is designed to help individuals who are considering starting their own business to obtain and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to assess the marketing and financial viability of their business idea. The aim of this course is to give you the skills, management tools and expertise in making the right decisions; to plan and organise your business effectively. How successful is the course? We asked some recent participants for their assessment: “I found the Start Your Own Business course very, very, useful. It explained the financial and accountancy side of business very well in a way that I could understand, and I would have difficulty understanding these subjects in my own language, let alone in English! I think people who already have a business idea will find this course very useful. - Gemma Faus “Yes, I would recommend Start Your Own Business. I found it very helpful. The accountancy module was very good and it greatly simplified this whole area for me. - Melvin Brennan “Start Your Own Business is a very ‘real’ course for anyone starting a business. It is totally blunt and you have to be dedicated to get the best out of it. You are very involved and I would recommend it for anyone who is committed.” - Eric Stephenson Content Start Your Own Business is made up of the following Modules: •Introduction to Business Planning for Entrepreneurs • Sales and Marketing • Employment legislation • Finance for enterprise • Taxation • Business Plan Development Next Course Start Your Own Business courses will be held in every month in 2008, commencing on 28th January. The cost of the course is €275. Our training courses are funded by FAS, to reduce the costs for participants. Book online today.
