Brief Programme Description
For those wishing to start their own business the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Dublin City Enterprise Board and FÁS have combined to offer a Start Your Own Business course for individuals to obtain and/or develop the necessary skills and knowledge to assess the marketing and financial viability of their business idea/project. The course will include mentoring and membership to the Link Dublin Network
The “Start Me Up” Course
This course is to provide individuals seeking to start their own business the skills, management tools and expertise in making the right decisions, planning and organising effectively. It will help individuals gauge the amount of control they need to use in order to keep their new venture running effectively and efficiently. (FÁS training element free of charge by FÁS)

The programme will include Modules on:
- Introduction to Business Planning
- Sales and Marketing
- Employment legislation
- Finance for Enterprise
- Taxation
- Business Plan Development
Mentoring & Networks
On completion of the Start Your Own Business Course you can avail of 3 hours one to one mentoring with one of our Mentors. At the end of the course and when you feel ready, just email info@dceb.ie and ask to meet with a mentor.
You will also receive one year membership to the Link Dublin Network and the option to be added to the Network Members Directory where you business details can be displayed for up to a year on our website without charge.
